What is a Ringas voucher?

Ringas is a universal prepaid airtime voucher that you can purchase a for redemption on any of the four major South African mobile networks which are Vodacom, MTN, Cell C or Telkom. This gives you the flexibility of purchasing an airtime voucher without having to specify the mobile network upfront.

Do I need to specify the mobile number or network operator when purchasing a Ringas Voucher?

No, you do not need to specify the network or mobile number when purchasing a Ringas voucher, which means you can buy a Ringas voucher for your loved ones or friends as a gift, without knowing what mobile operator they use.

Why should I buy a Ringas voucher & not my regular network provider top-up voucher?

How do I redeem my Ringas Voucher?

The voucher is easily redeemed. All you need to do is dial *130*888* followed by the 16-digit pin ending with a # & press send. The mobile number that you used to dial the USSD string is the number that will be recharged, and the correct network will be allocated automatically.

Can I give the voucher details to someone else to use to top-up their phone?

Yes, you can.  If you want to buy the voucher for someone else, you can send them the 16 digit pin number on your voucher and tell them to dial *130*888* followed by the 16 digit pin ending with a # – and they will be topped up! The full value of the Ringas voucher will be loaded to their number immediately.

How long is my Ringas voucher valid for?
The voucher is valid for 36 months from the date of purchase, and will expire after that.

You will find the expiry date and the value of your Ringas on the specific voucher that you have been issued with.

What can I do if my voucher is lost, stolen or has been used without my authorization?

To get a refund you would have to go back to the retailer / platform where it was purchased, as we refund the retailer for valid requests.
